BINGSHAN Shaanxi Yulin project completed the first set of cooling tower installation

BINGSHAN attaches great importance to this world-class coal chemical project, and sent Linde Hangzhou Yulin project team to the site as early as April 2020. In early August, the first air separation tower manufactured by Linde Dalian arrived on site, and the welding technicians responsible for the assembly welding of aluminum towers also arrived at the same time. Under the meticulous organization and scientific coordination of Linde Hangzhou project manager. Colleagues from Linde Hangzhou and Dalian, in collaboration with the employees of the construction unit, worked together to overcome the harsh environmental challenges of sandstorms, diurnal temperature differences, and changing climates in the northwest desert area, and performed all the tasks of the project in an orderly manner.

The on-site assembly welding of the aluminum tower closure seam is an important part of the entire air separation site construction, which will directly affect the development of subsequent projects and the production of complete equipment. From August 9th to August 16th, under the well-organized and meticulous construction of everyone, we overcame the windy and rainy weather, and fought continuously day and night to successfully complete the welding of the two aluminum towers in the cold box. After welding, the verticality of the tower body, the angle of the weld area and the surface quality are all higher than the standard requirements; the radiographic inspection of the weld is 100% qualified, which is perfect.

The high-quality completion of the installation of the first set of cold box towers marked the successful beginning of the Yulin Air Separation Project, indicating that the project’s various tasks have been fully carried out. It also indicates that the Linde Project Shaanxi Yulin Project will surely succeed Quality and efficiency have become an excellent project for the construction of this coal chemical base. This has once again established the company's leading position in the field of air separation in the world, developed the "treasure" of China's western region, and exerted its power.
